Passport Program
A holder of a United
States Lighthouse Society lighthouse passport can have it stamped with a
unique emblem at selected lighthouse locations.
There are four panels on
each page of the passport, and each panel should have a different lighthouse
stamp. If for some reason you visit a lighthouse where you can't get your
passport stamped (it is not participating in the
passport program, is closed when you visit, etc.), you can take a picture of the lighthouse,
cut out a logo of the lighthouse from a brochure and paste it in the square,
or draw it in if you're artistic, etc.
Once the passport is
filled, send it (or a copy) in to the US
Lighthouse Society
office at 244 Kearny Ave. 5th
Floor, San Francisco, CA 94108 for
verification. It will be reviewed and returned with an embroidered patch
that proclaims, "I've Seen the Light!"
Passports are available
from the LI Chapter gift shop.
